To request a routine appointment
- use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday from 8am.
- phone us on 0115 6973018 for Radford Medical Practice or 0115 6978651 for Nottingham Trent University Student Health Centre, Monday to Friday, when we are open
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open.
When you get in touch, we'll ask what you need help with.
The practice team will consider your request for an appointment or medical advice and tell you within one working day what will happen next.
This could be:
- An appointment that day or a subsequent day
- A phone call that day or a subsequent day
- A text message responding to your query
- Advice to go to a pharmacy or another NHS service
- Your practice will decide what is best for you based on your clinical need.

Urgent appointments
To request an urgent appointment for today (Monday to Friday)

Your appointment
However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call.
Appointments by phone or video call can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app)
- fill in an online form
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

We offer some appointments outside of usual surgery hours.
Extended Access Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Please tell us:
- If there's a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
- If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email.
- If you need an interpreter.
- If you have any other access or communication needs.
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it's helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible on 0115 6973018 for Radford Medical Practice or 0115 6978651 for Nottingham Trent University Student Health Centre. You can also:

- fill in an online form.
