The University offers many services to ensure you are safe. The link below takes you to the Student Hub for NTU, and offers advice around socialising safely, where you can go for a ‘safe place’.
This can be for any of the following reasons:
after a night out
if you’re being followed
to leave a situation if you’re feeling uncomfortable
to calm down if you’re feeling anxious.
There is also a ‘safe taxi scheme’
If you’ve run out of cash and can’t get home safe.
As an NTU student, you can call Nottingham Cars on 0115 970 0700. Tell them you need to use the ‘student emergency fare scheme’. They’ll ask for your N number, which you can find on your student ID card. They’ll take you home with an agreement for you to pay at a later date.
There is a dedicated University Police Team, and Emergency Security Points.
