The NHS is offering a MenB (Meningococcal B) vaccination programme for eligible students starting higher or further education in Autumn 2026.
The programme includes:
- Individuals born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008.
- Individuals born on or after 21 July 2001 who are turning 25 on or after 21 July 2026 and starting undergraduate higher education for the first time in Autumn 2026.
- Eligible students starting further education for the first time in Autumn 2026 who will be living in eligible further education accommodation.
International students and students from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Crown Dependencies are included where they meet the eligibility criteria.
Students who have already completed an eligible 2-dose MenB course within the last 5 years may not be eligible.
